The Dinosaur Path on Kamenjak

The educational and recreational trail “Following the Dinosaur Path on Kamenjak” is located on the right side of the Kamenjak peninsula, only 300 meters from the entrance and Graco – a small dinosaur will show You the way. The total lenght of the track is about 600 meters and includes models in actual sizes of dinosaurs and other creatures from the Cretaceous that lived on Kamenjak. There you can find an ammonite – extinct armoured cephalopod, a rudist – extinct horn-shaped shellfish, two small and one large theropod. Along the paths there are panels that describe the geological curiousities of Kamenjak in Croatia, Italian, English and German language. The paths end when it reaches the seashore at Cape Grakalovac near Penižule beach. On Cape Grakalovac, on the flat rock you can find a real tracks of dinosaurs that once roamed this area. The path can be visited by foot or by bicycle, and the educational walk will be enriched by the silence of the untouched nature and the scents of herbs that grow along the path.
