Lower Kamenjak, rightly labeled as an architectural wonder of the natural world, is better known to most as Cape Kamenjak. It includes the peninsula (3400 m long and between 500 and 1600 m wide) that can be reached from Premantura by road. Along with its 30 bays and 11 islets its natural splendour includes 600 plant species, among them 30 species of orchids, two of which are endemic. The terrestrial fauna is very rich and by merely diving into the shallow waters you can witness the wondrous biodiversity of the underwater Kamenjak. The visitors to Lower Kamenjak are charged an entrance fee during the tourist season.
